The China Economic Development Forum is organized by the HKUST Business School in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2011.

The Forum provides a unique platform for the HKUST community, business professionals, academics and policymakers to come together to share insights on the economic development of China, the world's fastest growing major economy and an increasingly important global player.

The Forum also offers a joyous opportunity to celebrate the success of the HKUST, which opened its doors in 1991. The four distinguished speakers at the event each played a part in creating HKUST's world-class business school as current or former professors, and they now each play an important role in the development of the China and Hong Kong economies. They will speak on key issues concerning "China and the World: Post-Crisis Growth Strategies" and "China's Economic Growth: Challenges and Opportunities".
