* ECON 4670 (prefious course
code: ECON 367) : The course is a
required courses for major and
second major. The course is of 0
credit and graded pass or fail.
This course aims at provide a chance
for students to have hands-on
research experience like data
collection, processing and analysis.
Each students is required to do a
project or research paper either as
part of an economics or an economics
related course (approved by the UG
Coordinator), or, as an independent
research project to be supervised by
a
faculty member of HKUST. No paper
done during exchange can be used to
satisfy the course requirement.
Example: ECON 4474 requires students to do
an individual or group project. If
you take the course and fulfill the
project requirement, then you also fulfill the
requirement of ECON 4670.
Registration for this course
When you registered for a course
that requires a project, you should
also enroll in ECON 4670 at the same
semester. Once you passed the
project, you pass ECON 4670.
Students who failed to register for
ECON 4670 in the final semester of
their study need to do so in the
winter or summer session even though
you finished the project requirement
in the elective course.
