A Taste of Russia’s History and Development at SKOLKOVO

The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO hosted a group of HKUST undergraduate students on their campus on 4 Aug. The 23 HKUST undergraduates, in a half-day program, attended a talk titled “Russian Economy: Challenges for Growth” delivered by Dr Andrey Shapenko of SKOLKOVO. They then took a guided walk around campus, where modern design schemes and state-of-the-art facilities were featured.

The HKUST group were students from science, engineering, business and management, humanities and social science, and interdisciplinary programs. They were in Moscow taking part in a study abroad program based at the Higher School of Economics, where they take credit-bearing courses on Russia’s economy, demographics and history. Participants were excited to learn about Russia’s history and development.

Organized by the HKUST Global Student Programs Office, this program is one of HKUST’s pilot programs to engage students to understand more about countries along the Belt & Road.
