Conferences in Pursuit of Academic Excellence

The 14th Marketing Dynamics Conference, organized by the Department of Marketing, was held on campus on 17-19 August. The conference provided an opportunity for marketing researchers for a vibrant discussion about cutting-edge research, with a keynote speech by Prof K. Sudhir, from the Yale School of Management and Editor of Marketing Science, followed by a series of presentations by faculty.

Co-organized by the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics & Operations Management (ISOM) and the Value Chain Innovation Initiative of the Stanford University, the Symposium on Innovations and Sustainability, held on 22-23 August, featured some of the best minds in the fields of sustainability and supply chain management to share their experiences and research findings. They included Ms Marjorie Yang, Chairman of Esquel Group; Prof Luk van Wassenhove, INSEAD; Prof Beril Toktay, Georgia Tech; and Prof Christopher Tang, UCLA.

The two occasions provided an excellent platform for international academic exchange and a remarkable opportunity for scholars to discuss with industry thought leaders.
