They also attended the International Advisory Board Meeting of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO (SKOLKOVO) – a new strategic partner of the HKUST Business School.

Leading world experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and scientists gathered at the Open Innovations Forum to discuss the future of technological trends and developments in the field of innovation. Executive Vice-President and Provost Prof Shyy Wei spoke about business education in the digital era, while faculty of the School among others including Prof KC Chan and Prof Xu Yan made a presentation, respectively on “FinTech” and the “Huawei Case”.

The HKUST delegation meanwhile joined the International Advisory Board Meeting of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO chaired by the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev. The meeting on 17 October reaffirmed the co-ordination agreement signed between HKUST and SKOLKOVO earlier, with a timetable laid down to launch a joint executive program. Jack Ma, Founder and Chairman of the board of directors of the Alibaba Group, was one of the guests of the meeting.

Established in 2006, SKOLKOVO is one of the largest private business schools in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The school is managed by its International Advisory Board together with a Coordination Council, which consists of 18 founding partners including some of the largest Russian and foreign companies.
