[eNews] Professor Hui Spoke at Two Overseas Conferences - on Blockchain and Cyber Risk

Professor Hui Kai Lung, Chair Professor in the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics, and Operations Management, is a frequent speaker in conferences and forums on subjects related to digital piracy, cybersecurity and privacy, Fintech, and technology policy.

In July, he was invited to speak at a “Cyber Risk Conference” jointly organized by the Singapore Actuarial Society (SAS) and ESSEC Business School in Singapore. The event looked into the threats and opportunities for the Asia Pacific Insurance Industry, featuring over 20 international experts, risk practitioners, regulators and established academics in the field of cybersecurity.

Earlier, Professor Hui spoke at Blockchain NeXt – a series of conferences aimed to increase the awareness of the effects and benefits of Blockchain in different cities worldwide. He joined two discussion panels in Poland on 21 June, to share his knowledge on the topic of academic perception of the future of blockchain and its impact on the global economy.
