[eNews] Active Participation in AIB Conference

The Academy of International Business (AIB) 2018 annual meeting was held in Minneapolis this summer. Established in 1959, the AIB is the leading association of scholars and specialists in the field of international business. AIB has more than 2900 members in 93 different countries around the world.

Professor JT Li, Lee Quo Wei Professor of Business and Chair Professor of Management, was the program chair of this major meeting, which was hosted by the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota and Opus College of Business, University of St. Thomas, in the US.

Meanwhile, a special session called “Preparing Leaders for Emerging Economies in an Era of Disruption” was chaired by Associate Dean Professor Steven Dekrey. The session included a keynote presentation by Mr Ruben Vardanyan, Impact Investor and Social Entrepreneur, and Founding Partner of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. He was joined by panelists Dean of HKUST Business School Professor Tam Kar Yan, Mr Marat Atnashev, Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, and Dan Russell, President and CEO, US-Russia Business Council.
