[eNews] High Potential Leadership Consortium Program for Executives

The Executive Education Office has been offering the “High Potential Leadership 5-day Consortium Program” since 2014. The program is comprised of three 1-2 day modules from August to October, namely Managerial Decision Making, Effective Team Communications and Leading Teams to Performance.

This year, there are 39 high flyers from diverse backgrounds (functions, industries and locations) joining the program, with an average of 17 years of work experience. The participants are from 24 companies, representing 14 industries.

In today’s dynamic and competitive business environment, it is essential for leaders to make quality decisions, and lead and communicate with the team to achieve desirable performances. Through lectures, case studies, exercises and group discussions, the program aims to develop these high flyers by improving their leadership capabilities and offering them access to the latest management knowledge.

The first module for this year’s program, taught by Professor Bilian Sullivan, was conducted in August. Participants found the module practical. The key learning points included tools for decision making, common biases on judgement and decision traps.
