[eNews] School Advisory Council Annual Meeting Points the Way Forward

The annual meeting of the HKUST Business School Advisory Council was held on campus on 14 September 2018. The meeting, presided by the Council Chairman Dr Hans Michael Jebsen, who is also the Chairman of the Jebsen Group, has offered solid recommendations for the School to build on its excellence.

Before the meeting, two faculty members were invited to make presentations to update the Council about the School’s new developments and initiatives. The first was made by Professor Anirban Mukhopadhyay, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies), on “Revising the Business Curriculum in the Age of Technology Disruption”, while Associate Professor Theodore Clark talked about “Online Learning and Business Education” with his first-hand experience on teaching one of the first online FinTech courses in the Asia Pacific Region.

The HKUST Business School Advisory Council consists of prominent Hong Kong and international business leaders. Its annual meeting provides important advice and support to the School for its future development.
