[eNews] International Accreditation – In Pursuit of Academic Excellence

Underpinned by its strong commitment to continuous improvement, the HKUST Business School has successfully undergone the accreditation review by AACSB - a highly recognized global accrediting body for business schools.

The accreditation review was conducted between January 20-22, where a team of experienced external reviewers from the US and Australia visited our campus and met with the University management and close to 100 members of faculty and staff, students and alumni, employers and the School Advisory Council.

This exercise has provided an opportunity for the School to hear first-hand the perspective of external reviewers on different dimensions of our teaching, research and outreaching initiatives.

Thanks to the strong support and participation of various stakeholders, we were able to showcase our solid outcomes, especially in the areas of engagement, innovation and impact.

The HKUST Business School was one of the first business schools in Asia accredited by AACSB back in 1999. Similar periodic peer reviews will continue to provide windows of opportunity for the School to strive for the highest standards of excellence in advancing our education mission.

The review team takes the opportunity to visit some facilities on campus, including the newly established Karen Lee Student Mentoring Center.
