[eNews] Citi’s Angel Ng Delivers Keynote Address at MBA Graduation Ceremony

“Embrace uncertainties, think of possibilities, and create higher purpose for life” is the advice that Ms Angel Ng, CEO for Citi Hong Kong and Macau, offered to our MBA students at their graduation ceremony.

In her keynote speech, Ms Ng shared her thoughts on how graduates should embark on a new journey in life and plan ahead for “what’s next” after their MBA. She is Citi's first ever Chinese woman CEO in the city since the bank established its presence in Hong Kong in 1902.  Prior to her current position, Angel was the head of Citi’s consumer banking business in Hong Kong. She was instrumental in leading the consumer bank’s digital transformation and the launch of many industry-first FinTech initiatives.

The MBA graduation ceremony, held on March 17, began with a welcome speech by Laurence Franklin, Adjunct Professor of Finance, Management, and Business Law. The presentation of candidates was made by Prof TAM Kar Yan, Dean of HKUST Business School, while the presentation of the MBA Academic Excellence Awards and MBA Citizenship Awards were made by Ms Angel Ng and Prof CHEN Tai-Yuan, Associate Dean and MBA Program Director.

Of the 121 graduates in the full-time MBA Class of 2019, 96 attended the ceremony. They brought 220+ family members and friends from around the world to join the ceremony.
