[eNews] Student Business Projects Reap Mutual Benefits

The mandatory Business Project course, supported by nine corporate partners – China CITIC Bank International, EF Education First, the Fung Group, G2000, Hilti, Hyundai, McKinsey, UOB Hong Kong, and ZhongAn, has proved to be yet another success for our MSc in International Management (MIMT) students.

Students and clients greatly benefited from the experience, which gave students the chance to tackle and solve issues that the companies face. A banking partner expressed her appreciation for the solutions presented, which provided organizational insights into the bank. A student, Ms Yuning WEI commented that, “the Business Project was the best part of my MIMT experience. The company treated us like a team of consultants instead of students. We have received tremendous support from the senior management to field engineers.”

Another student Ms Lilian LI is thankful for the great learning opportunity. "I applied the deep knowledge I gained from the program and my previous experience into practice. It was a challenging but highly rewarding journey, where I can gain more insight into business."

Since these projects kicked off, our students worked in teams of 4 to 5, to meet with the corporates, identify targets and key issues, conduct field research, analyse and apply classroom knowledge, and turn their innovation into actionable business strategies to solve clients’ problems.
