[eNews] HKUST MBA Mentorship Program Kick-off Event

The HKUST MBA Mentorship Program serves as a platform for mutual learning and sharing among different graduation classes. Having successfully navigated through their career decisions and professional development, our MBA alumni provide current MBA students with a source of inspiration and insight that helps them make the right decisions on their personal and career development.  Meanwhile, our mentors are also able to refresh their network and contribute towards their alma mater.

This year, over 150 MBA alumni and students bonded as mentors and mentees.  More than 75 pairs of successfully matched mentor-mentee teams came from various sectors and professions. The mentors and mentees were paired according to the mentees’ career aspirations and personal developments.

The HKUST MBA Mentorship Program 2020 kick-off event started with a meet-and-mingle session, followed by a workshop on “Building an optimized and lasting mentor-mentee relationship” led by Cavan CHAN. Cavan is an alumnus who graduated in 2013 and participated as a mentor in the previous year. The workshop prepared the mentees and mentors on their responsibilities and benefits and how to make the most out of the bonding.

HKUST prides itself in developing a close-knit MBA network locally and globally. We are extremely grateful to all of the alumni mentors for dedicating their time and effort to this program. We wish all the mentors and mentees a nurturing and rewarding connection.
