Harvard Business Review Publishes Work by Thompson Center for Business Case Studies

The work of the Professors Stephen Nason, Joseph Salvacruz and the Thompson Center for Business Case Studies wins attention of the esteemed management publication.

HKUST Business School is pleased to announce that Harvard Business Review has selected the work of two faculty members and one MBA student for publication in its May-June edition. “Competing Against Bling”, originally inspired by a case produced by the Thompson Center for Business Case Studies, focuses on a brand strategy problem common to the Chinese market: how should a well-established Western brand position itself within the shifting demography of the world’s largest consumer base. Authored by Professor Stephen Nason of the Department of Management, Professor Joseph Salvacruz of the Department of Marketing, and HKUST MBA alumni JP Stevenson, “Competing Against Bling” highlights the strength of the school’s faculty, students, and institutions. The work can be accessed here.

The Thompson Center for Business Case Studies provides business leaders and academia alike with insight into management problems that are unique to an Asian operating environment, serving as a point of nexus between East and West. Link to the Center
