The digital revolution is transforming the way people around the globe live, interact, and do business together. This four-day program brings together five leading experts on the digital revolution and its impact on business. Some of the full- or half-day sessions explore important new digital developments (such as Artificial Intelligence and ‘Big Data’ analysis) and explain exactly how and why they are relevant to today’s changing world. Other sessions focus on the corporate skills needed to plan for and manage change driven by digital innovation, and the mindset needed to kick-start the digital transformation process within traditional corporate structures. Overall, the program brings the significance of the digital revolution into focus for business, and provides clear practical strategies for businesses wanting to ride the transformational digital technology wave.

Digital Strategy: Digital Business Models (1 day) Prof. Chris Doran

Today’s traditional business models are increasingly insufficient for handling the wide-ranging impact of digital technology on business operations. Through exercises and case studies, this session explores alternative business models that can successfully harness the tools of the digital revolution and take corporates forward smoothly into the new digital era.

Technology-Enabled Business Innovation (1 day) Prof. Sam Garg

Technology is transforming the business landscape of many industries, and businesses unable to recognize and harness new technology face significant disruption. This session outlines the challenges faced by business leaders in reorganizing businesses to embrace technology, but also the rewards that can follow from the right kind of innovation and from strategic collaboration with external parties.

Module 2: 10-11 September 2019 (Tue-Wed)

Big Data & Business Analytics (half day) Prof. Allen Huang

In a world of endless information, how can businesses capture and harness the large-scale data they need to improve their competitive edge? This session introduces ‘Big Data’ and explores how businesses can use it to their advantage by employing appropriate data processing and analytical tools.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Business (half day) Prof. Rong Zheng

This session introduces AI, and explores how it is reshaping the international business landscape. Included are a series of case studies illustrating the practical advantages of applying AI solutions to business.

Leading Change in the Digital World (1 day) Prof. Caroline Wang

Change is a constant, but in a complex multinational business environment, it can also be overwhelming. This session helps participants embrace change rather than shrink from it, by mapping out a digital transformation strategy that takes into account every aspect of change management in today’s digital world.
