BBA in Finance (FINA) program is designed to prepare students for careers in investment banking, retail banking, fund management, trading, insurance, actuarial, accountancy & tax, compliance and risk, and management consultancy, so on and so forth.

FINA program emphasizes on developing students' analytical and critical thinking skills in decision making as well as qualitative and quantitative analyses in finance in today's globalized economy. Students will learn how to identify valuable opportunities, how to evaluate alternative, how to make sound and good financial decisions, how to assess and price risks, and how to manage money.

Important topics covered in the program include corporate finance, corporate valuation, investment analysis and portfolio management, derivative securities, financial markets and institutions, financial accounting and international finance.

Finance deals with individual and corporate decisions on the allocation of financial resources. Three major areas in Finance are Corporate Finance, Investment and Portfolio Management, as well as Financial Markets and Institutions.

  • Corporate Finance analyses the investment and financing decisions of firms, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Investment and Portfolio Management deals with the problems of asset pricing, portfolio design and risk management by individuals and investment firms such as unit trusts.
  • Financial Markets and Institutions present the unifying framework and environment in which financial activities take place.

In addition, the Department of Finance offers many elective courses covering various aspects of finance such as fixed income securities, international Finance, and venture capital financing. The curriculum of the program is practical and prepares students for proficiency in working with industry-standard databases such as Bloomberg Professional service for real-time data, news and analytics.
