HKUST ISACA Student Group Annual General Meeting Session 2015-16 October 14th 2015

We would like to cordially invite you to our Annual General Meeting in which you can find out more about our group and become involved as a Subcommittee member if you are interested. There are no requirements for you in joining this AGM: there is no required dress code and no preparation expected.

We are aware that currently is a busy time for many students with midterm examinations and assignments due. Please let us know via the form if you are interested in becoming actively involved in the group but are not able to attend the meeting.If you are seeking a regular membership only, registration will occur during the meeting as well as through an online form in the coming days. A separate email after the email will be sent out to all relevant students for membership registration after the AGM.We hope to see you at the meeting and we are looking forward to collaborate with you for the benefit of the IS Department and students at HKUST.

Mr. Jouni Hakanen - Every Business is a Digital Business

Jouni is Managing Director at Accenture Strategy Consulting and Lead Technology Strategy in Asia Pacific. He also leads Cloud Computing in Greater China. Jouni has led and executed several international projects in Europe, North America and Asia. He has wide industry experience covering telecommunications and high tech, pulp & paper and resource based process industries, pharmaceutical industry and retail trade and consumer products.

Mr. Gary Yuen - IS Audit and Security Professionals in Workspace

Gary Yuen is the Director of Ernst & Young's Advisory Services Practice in Hong Kong, specializing in IT risks and assurance. Gary has extensive experiences in providing IT auditing and security services to multi-national corporations and local organizations operating in various industry segments including financial services, government, and ICT etc. He led and performed a wide range of IT auditing / security engagements including IT auditing in support of financial statements audit, IT internal audit, information security assessment, regulatory compliance review, business process review, SOX advisory, third-party reporting services with reference to industry standards, etc. His professional qualifications include: Certified Public Accountants, Hong Kong Institute of CPAs; Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA); and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

Mr. Ronald Fung - Latest Topics among the CEO and CIO Circles

Ronald Fung is a Junior Partner currently based in the Hong Kong Office of McKinsey & Company. ?He is a core leader of Greater China FIG Practice and Business Technology Office (BTO). ?He advised clients in multiple IT topics, especially on the large scale transformations. ?He spent 1.5 years previously in the Amsterdam Office serving clients in Europe and a wide range of geographical locations, including Slovakia, Nigeria, India and Saudi Arabia. ?Ronald received his M.Sc. in Social Policy and Planning, Criminology from London School of Economics, University of London and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, University of London.

Mr. Allen Ma - Technology Entrepreneurship in Hong Kong: Challenges and Opportunities

Mr. Allen Ma was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC) in July 2013. In this role, he leads and manages Hong Kong Science Park, InnoCentre and three Industrial Estates that are entities within HKSTPC. In his most recent role, Allen worked for British Telecom plc as President, Asia Pac, after having worked for Motorola Inc. Global Telecom Solutions Sector as VP & General Manager of Asia. Prior to that, Allen worked for C&W Hong Kong Telecom in a number of senior executive positions. Allen holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and is a fellow member of both the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK. He is also a Certified Management Accountant of Canada.

I would like to congratulate you (and everyone else involved) on all your hard work and the time you have put in to establish an ISACA Student Group (ISG). It is my pleasure to announce that ISACA has reviewed all the documents you have submitted and has confirmed that the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) ISACA Student Group is officially recognized by ISACA International Headquarters! This is especially exciting since this group represents the very first ISACA Student Group to be established in China. I also wish to congratulate and thank the Hong Kong Chapter for all their hard work and efforts in supporting this new ISACA Student organization.
