As one of the six academic departments operating under the School of Business and Management, our focus has always been placed on building up a close relationship with the local business community. Since the inception of the Department in 1992, we have actively engaged ourselves in different modes of cooperation with the industry, such as offering executive education programs, holding IT forums and conferences, undertaking contract research and consulting work with major companies, and initiating student internship programs and projects. These kinds of cooperation not only bring about mutual benefits to the university and the participating companies, they also contribute to Hong Kong’s IT development as a whole.

Education is an interactive process. By bridging the classroom and the corporate workplace, we seek to incorporate knowledge and advance research into real life business.
