MARK 6900X Analytical Research in Marketing (3 units)

This PhD-level course is intended to provide students an exposure to the major streams of analytical research in marketing strategy. Students are expected to learn the main topics and industries in the frontier of research, as well as a wide variety of techniques. The primary goal of the course is to prepare students to read, appreciate, and critique the literature on analytical marketing models. The course will meet twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday, for 6 weeks. Each session consists of lectures and class discussions, and some sessions also have student presentations. During the lecture, the instructor will cover the basic game theoretic methods required to read and understand the literature. Students will be assigned papers to critique.
