Markets |
The Center was formed in 1997 to develop
a data and knowledge base of Asian financial markets. It
seeks to facilitate both research and the dissemination of
knowledge and expertise while providing an academic interface
with government and business. The Center publishes extensively,
offers its expertise externally, develops new data and teaching
materials, issues a bi-annual newsletter, a working paper
series, seminars and public lectures, and provides executive
education, consulting services, and contract research.

The Center for Asian Family Business
and Entrepreneurship Studies aims to become a center of excellence for knowledge and

The Center of Business Case Studies (CBCS) at HKUST Business School aims to advance learning and teaching through the development of Asian business case studies.
We draw on the strengths of HKUST world class business program to develop business case studies that are relevant to students who want to learn about doing business in Asia. In developing our cases, we work closely with faculty and company executives to draw learning experiences from real-world business challenges and opportunities.

Business Strategy and Innovation |
The Center for Business Strategy and
Innovation aims to apply rigorous academic research of the MGMT
department and the school to readily apparent needs of the
business community and public institutions in Hong Kong and the
region. By funding scholars to tackle critical business issues,
we aim to have an impact on the practice of management in
relation to innovation and strategy, and to make an important
contribution to the economic development of Hong Kong and China.
The objectives of the Center are:

and Supply Chain Management |
The Center for Marketing and Supply Chain Management
(originally Center for Marketing and Distribution), established
in April 2005 with the generous support of the Fung Foundation
Ltd, promotes high quality research on the interface of
marketing and supply chain management, with a focus on the
applications to China.
The mission of the Center is to influence the future business
practices in marketing and supply chain management in or related
to China. To this end, the activities will target people that
are influencing the industry – policy setters, industry leaders,
prominent academics, and people that will be making an influence
– university students, budding researchers.
The goal of the Center is to promote and support research in
marketing, supply chain management and related technologies at
the HKUST Business School, with the goal of (a) increasing the
visibility and prestige of the School’s leadership in these
areas, (b) further cementing the global academic leadership of
the HKUST Business School in the areas of marketing and supply
chain management, and (c) enhancing the competitiveness of
companies in the afore-mentioned areas, particularly in China.

| Value Partners Center for Investing |
The Value Partners Center for Investing aims to contribute to Hong Kong's role as a pre-eminent regional asset management center through promoting and supporting a wide range of activities in relation to investment research and training with the generous donation from Value Partners Group Limited.
The Center's activities include the provision of investment management training courses for students at HKUST, the establishment of a Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF); the enhancement of industry-academia interactions through outreach activities including seminars, conferences and publications; and support for scientific and policy research on investment management in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
