The Case
The HKUST Business
School will work with Citi to develop a business case for the
competition. The case provides background about an organization and
outlines a set of pressing business issues that senior management
needs to address. Supporting data and other associated information
such as annual reports, financial data, and market research studies
could be provided as references.
The Competition
Each team has 26
hours to complete the analysis and provide recommendations to senior
management for consideration. During this period, students have to
work on their own. Discussion of the case with outside sources,
advisors, faculties or any parties other than their teammates is not
permitted.
To support their
analyses, each group is provided with one desktop computer with
internet connection. Students are welcome to bring their own
laptops, but CICC committee would not provide any supporting
equipment for these laptops nor any other technical support.
Students have to work in the apartment provided by HKUST.
Additional Note
The National Costume Show will be
held during the Closing Dinner on Nov 4.
