BBA in Professional Accounting

The BBA in Professional Accounting (ACCT) gives students a world-class start to their professional careers. This is achieved through the appliance of top accounting training, professional excellence, communication and leadership skills, taught with the perspective needed to succeed in the new global economy.

Hong Kong and international accounting and business practices are included in a program that ranks No. 1 outside North America accredited by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). It holds unconditional accreditation from the HKICPA (Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and ACCA (Association of Certified Chartered Accountants). The department’s research ranks top in its field in the Asia-Pacific and has been placed among the world’s top ten in five recent years with Chicago, Stanford and Wharton.

Curriculum
Cutting-edge training that will not appear in textbooks for years is provided by PhD professors who are experts in Hong Kong, China and international accounting and law. Unique “Professional Excellence” courses also introduce students to leaders of the profession in the region and beyond.

Graduates are eligible to register for the HKICPA’s qualification program and receive the maximum allowable exemptions from the ACCA.

Students graduate with an in-depth knowledge of Hong Kong, China and international accounting principles, broad-based learning, communications and leadership skills. Double majors are possible, leading to multiple program designations such as BBA in Professional Accounting and Finance.
