The School recognizes and supports the importance of community service through community projects which are incorporated in the BBA/BSc programs.

Social Responsibilities Projects provide students with the opportunity to learn more about themselves and their profession by applying what they have learned in a project with a non-profit organization in the community.

Since September 2007, the HKUST Business School launched its first credit-bearing “Social Responsibilities Project”.  The School believes that community projects provide opportunities for students to experience the joy of making a positive difference in their communities. The School envisages that through structured reflection about their service, students will be able to test and deepen their understanding of theoretical approaches in virtually any discipline and acquire the skills to develop their leadership and communication skills in an enjoyable environment.
