How many times have you heard the phrase, "college is the best
four years of year life?” For me, it was never a question
of should I study abroad but rather about the details of my program,
when I should actually leave, and where I should study at for
a semester.
A study abroad experience is an essential part of a college education;
it teaches you so much more than any classroom environment can
ever hope to teach you.
Every single day I am learning and growing, which is a main reason
why I wanted to come abroad. I wanted to learn more about myself,
see how the world looked from outside The States, and look at business
through a different lens. When I graduate in about a year and a half,
I want to walk away feeling like my degree is an entire package,
something that holds more than just my academic achievements; I also
want it to symbolize my achievements as an individual who is learning
so much more about the world around him and about himself.
In a sense, this is true college experience that I have always yearned
for but never really had the chance to experience. When you are studying
at your home university, there is a natural element of constant stress
that forces you to think about the future and the consequences of
your actions. When you are abroad, you feel free; free to do whatever
it is that you want rather than doing things that you think you have
to be doing during your college experience.
I would strongly encourage anyone
to study abroad; it’s truly
an experience you will never forget and enjoy forever! I have included
my contact information below. Please do not hesitate to contact
me regarding any questions, comments, or concerns that you may
have.
