HKUST brings together a diverse group of undergraduates with a variety of academic, cultural and social backgrounds by recruiting students from around the world.

Each year, the Business School admits students to its BBA/BSc programs via four admission channels.

   
The Hong Kong Joint University Program Admission Systems (JUPAS), for Hong Kong Secondary School students applying based on Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) results (up to 2012) and Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) results (from 2012 onwards)
   
International Student Admission, for overseas students who need a student visa to study in Hong Kong
   
Mainland Student Admission, for Mainland China students applying based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) results
   
Direct Admission, for Hong Kong students with qualifications other than the HKALE/ HKDSE results; Mainland China students with qualifications other than the JEE results; and Taiwan and Macau students

For 3-Year Program, the target local intake quotas are as follows:

BBA in Accounting: 130
BBA in Global Business: 45
BSc in Economics & Finance: 50
BSc in Quantitative Finance: 30
BBA: 443*

* 8 BBA programs available for students' selection after completing year 1

   
         
    For 4-Year Program, students will be admitted to the School before they decide their major program(s) at the end of their Year 1 (for BSc programs) or Year 2 (for BBA programs) study.

The target local intake quota for 4-Year program is 715.
