[eNews] Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA Program Welcomes New Cohort and Celebrates its Alumni Community

Despite recent travel restrictions and social distancing measures, the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA program welcomed its second cohort in early June. This cohort is our most senior class yet with an average age of 41 years old and 18 years of work experience. The program also welcomed participants from faraway places such as Buenos Aires, Paris, London, and Los Angeles.

Although we could not celebrate the orientation week with everyone in person, the atmosphere online and offline was extremely energizing – just like old times!

Additionally, on June 22, Anthony ZAMECZKOWSKI (KH EMBA Class of 2013), Vice President of Business Development for Netflix, joined us in the KH Alumni Business Card series for a fireside chat. Anthony shared his professional experience on “How does Netflix continue the leadership in streaming in wake of Studio consolidations and competitive services in the Global market?” The chat was moderated by current student Anne CHAN (Class of 2022), VP, Content Distribution Management & Emerging Business, Asia of ViacomCBS Networks Asia.

Among the audience was an alumnus from Disney+ who shared candid views with Anthony as competitors. This occasion perfectly illustrated the beauty of the program, where “high-impact, low-ego” alumni could share and discuss ideas from different perspectives with mutual respect.
