ISOM 5570 Large-Sample Statistics

[Previous Course Code(s): ISOM 584, ISMT 584] Modes of convergence, Lindeberg's central limit theorem, Slutsky's theorems, convergence under transformations and the delta method, projection method. The methods are illustrated with examples in U-statistics, rank statistics, sample survey, time series, kernel density estimation, maximum likelihood estimators and posterior distributions. Asymptotic efficiency. Other topics include large-sample methods based on empirical distribution functions, and the delta method for a differentiable functional.
