[eNews] Faculty Appointed by the HKSAR Education Bureau and Temasek's Steward Asia Center

Professor TAM Kar Yan, Dean of HKUST Business School, has been reappointed as the Chairperson of the Curriculum Development Council (CDC) by the Education Bureau of the HKSAR Government for another two-year term from September 1 onwards. Members of CDC, including frontline educators and academics, administrators from tertiary institutions, professionals in the business and technology fields, and parental representative, provide their point-of-views and practical suggestions to promote the effectiveness of students' learning experience and foster overall development.

Additionally, Professor Sam GARG, Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Liwei Huang Associate Professor of Business, has been appointed by Temasek's Steward Asia Center to the Stewardship Discussion Circle – the center’s inter-disciplinary advisory board. Professor GARG was selected for his work on governance and leadership to improve stewardship and sustainability practices.

The Stewardship Discussion Circle consists of academics, senior practitioners, and former policymakers, and aims to influence firms in Asia and throughout the world through its expertise. Launched in 2015, the Stewardship Asia Centre is a non-profit organization established under the Temasek Trust, and is dedicated to supporting business leaders, investors, and individuals in activating stewardship practices through executive education, research, engagement, and advisory services.
